that appears to be what is happening. either way, I'm not sure Palin has the capacity to run the country. I know there is a certain common man appeal, but think about whether you would want one of your drinking buddies running the country... In the end, it is the cabinet appointees who run the ship, but you have to have a leader who can outwit the appointees and dominate the agenda, otherwise the president becomes ineffective, and at worst, merely the face of a corrupt regime.

The Tea Party is being hijacked... its sad.

I just don't get how they can get behind an idea and then speak an entirely different language. I had a moron one time tell me that American foreign policy was "libertarian" because the countries in question voluntarily ask us to come there.

Maybe America just has a gigantic collective case of stockholm syndrome.

I donno man... the longer this recession goes on.. the more I start to feel that we really need to just trade with everyone.. and fight or donate to no one.

Honestly the only direct threat I saw (and rightfully so) was intervening in Haiti ... because I swear if we didn't go in there that fast we'd have mass numbers of Hatians here in the US. That was protecting our boarders...

that is when the storm will begin.

byby barry, he can go back to kenya and teach constitutional law there.

You're going for the same borrow and spend republicans again, that is why I say, the tea party has been hijacked. They both spend like crazy, just because the republicans do it with more hubris and less immediate effect doesn't mean your country's future isn't doomed. You can blame the other party all you like, if you are a partisan zealot, but that does not change the path that we are on. We are already in the ring of fire, and we will soon be facing Japan's demise.

If Palin is selected to run for a "tea party" then the entire spirit of the party is already gone anyway. The word hijacking at least gives the impression it may be recoverable.

Self deceptions keep us from seeing things as they really are. Welcome to the machine.

Hence the "gigantic collective case of stockholm syndrome."
