Whilst Microsoft was bragging about the sales number of their latest OS Windows Vista, few would actually know that they have only managed to sell 244 copies in the whole of China in the first 2 weeks. You heard that right, and that’s the number quoted from the headquarters of the Windows Vista chief (90% national volume) distributor in Beijing.

244 is really low for a country such as China that has such a large population. I wonder what happened?

Shall we attack china for copy rights? Or should we shut off food exports to all other countries and learn them to eat rice? Let them learn to eat rice is what I say.

Huh?.....you are already suing them over copyrights Daniel...and China does this to every country in the world if they have technology that the Chinese want.

They dont believe in copyrights for anything...unless its theirs of course. :wink:

Copyright laws don't apply to China apparently. Most of those 244 'genuine' copies were probably bought solely to copy the disks for sale as pirated software.

I'm sure it can, since XP was. I remember there being a hack available for legit XP owners so they could avoid having to deal with the activation annoyances. I don't see why Vista would be any different.
