Since the Bush administration took office in 2001, it has been more lenient toward mining companies facing serious safety violations, issuing fewer and smaller major fines and collecting less than half of the money that violators owed, a Knight Ridder Newspapers investigation has found.
Actually, one reason why they are down is that actually higher saftey precautions are up! Mining deaths are down 50% since 2001. Each year under Bush's presidency, these tragic accidents have gone down. However thats not what the New York Times and other liberal news media would like you to think.
Keep up the good job GW. The less that these sad events take place, the less pain and shock that have to effect our citizens and communities.
