I stayed up late last night wondering why Nightline is on at 11:35pm and after the Saddam Tapes segment was over, I was wondering why I even bothered to watch it at all. Most of what they covered in the show was already released in news articles about the show during the day on Wednesday.

The Saddam tapes were to be showcased at this year's Intelligence Summit in Virgina (Feb 17-20 ). I am assuming that there was a reason why ABC was Ok'd to only use a couple short clips - the Intelligence Summit wants to be the ones to break the good stuff. At least thats what I hope, or else its not that juicy of a story although I believe it does show the Intent of what the USA said Iraq had and also his Capability of producing such weapons. These tapes were of Saddam in the mid 90s. On tape, his advisors said they are fully ready to begin weapon development. I would say 6 years later was enough time for Iraq to have created weapons. They also talked about how they hid weapons and development from the Inspectors. Sound Familiar?
