"A small Easter display was removed from the City Hall lobby on Wednesday out of concern that it would offend non-Christians."

Full Story

This is no longer your mother's country. It is sad to see the memories of your culture go away. Memories of a young boy knowing it was the Christmas season or Easter for that matter. You knew the stores would be all decorated for the season. You knew downtown would be all decorated and festive. Holiday celebrations brought the kid out in you, for whatever reason that might be. Maybe it was just the chocolate candy or the candy canes. The culture of the United States has always included the celebration of certain traditions, even if they were religious-based, they seem to reach out to every and become American traditions.

So be mindful of the Easter season this year. It may be the last as you remember.

In nations like iran, Syria,Egypt.. every one is Muslim.. and because of that, they can show their love for their religion fully, in every way, with out the fear of offending people.

The west, which is Christian, is stating to get on its knees for others because it is afraid to offend, Christians cant show their full extent of their love for their religion like they used to be able to.
