Europe is the home of the Germans. For centuries others have tried to steal power, but time and time again, the Germans have remained. If it was up to the slavs and the Turks, Germans would be displaced in their own homeland.
With the de-militarization of Europe, Germany has finally been able to position itself economically as the center of the Eurozone.
Loss of WWII or no, Germany may have received a blessing in disguise from the United States. We'll see.
