Brazil has overtaken Britain as the world's sixth largest economy, a London-based research group said Monday.

In its latest World Economic League Table, the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said Asian countries were moving up while European countries were slipping down.

Taxpayers are funding aid to Brazil even though it has become richer than Britain, Whitehall officials admitted yesterday.

Millions has been handed over in development aid in recent years despite the rapid rise of Brazil to the top rank of world economies.

And money is still going to the Latin American powerhouse in the week it was revealed to have overtaken Britain in the world’s economic league table.

It's basically a bribe to open up their economies. For example, even though Brazil produces its own sugar, far and wide enough to support its own ethanol appetite, they import Iowa corn. Why? It's cheaper... and you don't have cheap markets without large exchanges of cash. Or something like that...

Here is your free market capitalism, based on exploitation... just as Marx noted. Interestingly enough, in his day religion was still a part of the European daily life. With communism, one overcomes that. In the West, we have overcome religion, and what has happened is not exactly communism here, but a widening of the global market into underdeveloped countries, exploiting their labor, that our masses are no longer willing to accept.

It sure is getting late in the game.
