Brazil has overtaken Britain as the world's sixth largest economy, a London-based research group said Monday.

In its latest World Economic League Table, the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said Asian countries were moving up while European countries were slipping down.

And now let's compare human rights, workers rights and the exploitation of child workers and see if that has something to do with this surge.

The CEBR also predicted that the British economy would overtake France -- ranked fifth this year -- by 2016 and it said India, the world's 10th biggest economy in 2011, would move up to fifth place by 2020.

It says the US economy is the biggest, followed by China, Japan and Germany.

Taxpayers are funding aid to Brazil even though it has become richer than Britain, Whitehall officials admitted yesterday.

Millions has been handed over in development aid in recent years despite the rapid rise of Brazil to the top rank of world economies.

And money is still going to the Latin American powerhouse in the week it was revealed to have overtaken Britain in the world’s economic league table.

NB, now you see another reason why our countries are similar.

we're both broke and continue giving to foreign entities to surpass us.

seems to be the new function of government, rob the citizens to bankrupt
our country while aiding others.

on a positive note, we could likely exchange parliament for congress and
vice versa and no one would tell the differance!

It's basically a bribe to open up their economies. For example, even though Brazil produces its own sugar, far and wide enough to support its own ethanol appetite, they import Iowa corn. Why? It's cheaper... and you don't have cheap markets without large exchanges of cash. Or something like that...

Here is your free market capitalism, based on exploitation... just as Marx noted. Interestingly enough, in his day religion was still a part of the European daily life. With communism, one overcomes that. In the West, we have overcome religion, and what has happened is not exactly communism here, but a widening of the global market into underdeveloped countries, exploiting their labor, that our masses are no longer willing to accept.

It sure is getting late in the game.

War is a biological necessity of the first importance, a regulative element in the life of mankind which cannot be dispensed with, since without it an unhealthy development will follow, which excludes every advancement of the race, and therefore all real civilization.-Friedrich von Bernhardi

What can be said for a man who would allow his home to be invaded by strangers who demanded they be fed, clothed, housed and granted the rights of the first-born? What can be said for a ruling elite that permits this to be done to the nation, and who celebrate it as a milestone of moral progress?-Pat Buchanan
