Web hints are that 'The Parasite' and 'Godzilla' are apparent codenames, and guesses that a 'Voltron' movie or a 'Godzilla' remake are the basis of the movie.

I don't either is correct. Sounds like it is a monster movie, and the moster is large....but I'd guess unique.

Apparently it is shot thru a 'witness cam' viewpoint so it might be a bit of a new spin on an old genre.

Looks pretty cool. A moster trashing NYC. We already saw that in the most recent Godzilla remake - so I really doubt it's another Godzilla re-make. I'm guessing the Voltron thing is more attributed to the 'Bad Robot' production company.

Probably something rising from the depths of the ocean in a mutated form based on the Slusho.com hints.

Maybe there's an anagran in there somewhere.

Not a bitch, mind you. Just saying. At any rate, all of this is enormous fun. And I have to believe this is a remake. No one would come up with an original giant monster movie in this day and age.

so i watched the trailer then asked my parents about the movie and they said it was a shitty indie american godzilla affair
didnt make much in the box office and wasnt very good even for a movie of that time

i have also noticed that there have been many pictures added to the 1-18-08 site, one of them you can see a soldier, it also seems that pictures are being added between 12:01 and 12:48
the soldier is there before the statue's head hits the ground...
anyone else think anything of that?

also when zooming in on the poster, you can see the head has been removed by something with three claws...

hmmmmm
