Like anyone with a habitual problem, they need a reason to stop...something to believe in. I had a friend addicted to heroin and he commited his life to jesus christ....why?....i showed him that God is real by showing him we are living in the last days and how the prophecies of the bible are happening all around us...this gave him the proof he needed and he said to me along these lines....... "i want to repent of my sins, everythin is comin down, i didnt realise we were livin in such an important time" and he began to fear God like we all should, and this made him realise that the God of the bible is VERY real and made him want to change his ways. I showed him also the mark of the beast/microchip implant prophecy and this had a big impact on him.

I dont know if you are christian or not, but i know from personal experience this works what i described above.

People need a reason, a reason worth livin for to change their ways because at the moment drugs to many people is their saviour, but we have to show them there is a better saviour that doesnt destroy our bodies or lifestyle and his name is JESUS.

The PROOF of God in prophecy also showed ME when i was 18 (im 25 now) that i was on the wrong path and made me repent. I used to be a thief and did all sorts of things and prophecy was the one thing i needed to convince me there was a God and gave me an alternative lifestyle that was good for society and not self destructive like my life of crime.

Hope this helped...it really works.

God bless!

SOTL is right in many respects. An individual needs a reason to change, to take hold of their life and make positive decisions. What he suggests is one way but the bottom line is that the person themself needs to come to that point. You thinking and wishing it for them or anyone else doing the same will not make it happen.

Find help for them when you can, support them when you can and in the end don't be afraid of some tough love.

The Religious aspect could be a long term solution, it works for some..

I suggest you find help for this person by visiting this below link and contacting one of the numbers listed.

http://www.nida.nih.gov/Infofax/otherinfo.html

You could also contact your local church or school and get local help.
