Legalization will just take all the fun out of it.

It should be legal though IMO. I just don't see how a plant can be declared illegal.

I have the same argument for the coca plant as well.... the difference there is that I would be against legalizing cocaine. Taking the coca plant and refining it to cocaine is a completely different issue.

I agree with you Purps. The plant in itself really should be legalized for the benefits it can provide. Like paper for example, which is suppose to last longer and which is obviously better for our planet. Its just when its used as a narcotic where things get murky imo.

i think it is a gateway drug. first illegal drug i ever tried was pot.

just like a lot of friends of mine.

i do think they should legalize it, because of the waste of police resources to try and stop it.

nobody should have to serve 6 months in jail for a joint.

as for medicine, the big companies are trying to synthesize it so they can patent it and sell it. THC pills anyone????????? any idiot can grow pot.

just my 2 cents. and no i do not smoke pot anymore. it robs you of all ambition

yeah its true that marijuana robs you of ambition.
but see, not everyone wants ambition, nor can they act upon it. some people would rather just smoke weed and live a middle/lower class life.
if everyone was ambitious, what world would we live in?

and as for being a gateway drug?
bullshit.

whats the gateway drugs that lead to weed?
ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES.

to lump all those addictions people got from higher drugs, onto weed is grossly unfair. if your gonna blame something. blame the source, or blame the drug dealers of those higher drugs that should be held to account.
they know what will transpire for addictions, and still seek to profit from them.

thats all its about for them, profit. weed dealers are polarly different from hard drug dealers.

I think it's interesting that the 2nd most lucrative pot growing area in the nation after where I live (Northern Cali) is Appalachia. Way to go hillibillies!

Every single person I know who has smoked pot has done hard drugs, including myself, but I guess it depends on the people. I had to quit a job a once because my boss giving me lines of coke for breakfast. It started off with breky cones, then progressed. He was getting worse and worse, so I jumped ship, and I'm glad I did. I still talk to him now and then, now he has a $1500 a week habit......
