Gee, for starters, they're both dead. Rush is not. This makes a big difference. And why is it all right for SNL to make fun of Rush even though they have drug addicts working on the show? Wasn't it Rush Limbaugh that said we should kill off all the drug addicts? Yes, it was. Therefore he is a hypocrite and deserves to be razzed for it as long as he's around spewing his holier than thou, self righteous bullshit.

What's the big deal it's funny? Yes SNL has made fun of Robert Downey Jr's addiction. Why was it a big stink? Because Rush is a hypocrite. The same individual that wanted drug users locked up and the key thrown away, is one himself.

If you could direct me to the article that sez, Mr. Limbaugh sold drugs.... I would be very grateful....
But I am sure I read that he bought them for his personal use...and used his housekeeper to help him buy them....I have never read anything that pointed to his distribution of any drugs......
Now other countries...some of which many of us pray they could be citizens of....have laws that "protect" their citizens, giving them the right to use drugs for their "personal" use.....
The..... "If you want to kill yourself,go right ahead law" seems to work just fine in other countries....keeping crime down...and helping to curtail the drug addicts before they become the elderly drug addicts....
Now this "law" is OK...for many.....John Belushi, Keith Richards, Kurt Cobane, and MANY others... in the eyes of the left wingers....
They feel sorry for the poor b'stards, even idolize some....
but once a "right winger" gets in the spotlight.....
BAD BAD BAD.....

There's also a difference between someone who purposely went out looking to get f/cked up like those SNL losers and someone who was on prescription meds and got hooked. Rush didn't look to have a party. He got hooked and couldn't get out.

Oh come on Crazy it's about willpower, but I stick to my gun's with Rush's hypocricy. The reason he's getting slammed so hard is because he slams other people. Have you ever listened to his show? I have on multiple occasions, and he is not very pleasant with those who disagree with him. If he can dish it out he should be able to take it.

It is not about willpower. I've had several good friends... some that died... that couldn't beat their addiction. So don't give me that sh/t.

YES IT IS. If you want to beat anything it's willpower. I know plenty of people that have beat substances such as heroin, coke, etc. They did it because they were mentally strong and got support. So yeah I am going to give you that sh/t, because all other answers are a cop out. No one's holding a gun telling someone they have to put something in their body.

No. I honestly believe some people are stronger than others. I could turn off my smoking habit like nothing. But I know people that go into practical convulsions if they don't puff every couple hours. And that's just nicotene.

Besides, Rush isn't doing the drugs anymore. So he must have beat his addiction somehow. Still doesn't discount the fact he had an addiction to begin with.
