The death of a high school teacher leads to the discovery of drugs.
I just like that the offender's name rhymes with cannibus...
Jacksonville Police found Terry Hannabas, a teacher at Terry Parker High, dead at his home earlier this week.
Detectives tell our news partner Channel 4 they also found something else: marijuana.
"Officers working that case found the marijuana in the house, and called us to come out to recover the 76 plants that were growing in the house," says Lt. Mike Gwynes.
Another Terry Parker instructor, Lamar Minton, was arrested this week after marijuana plants were found at his home.
But Duval County School spokesman John Williams doesn't think there's a connection.
"It does appear odd," admits Williams, "but at this point we've not been able to uncover any link."
